Request Standby/Detail EMT

If you would like EMTs on hand for an event, simply fill out the form below. Once submitted, our scheduling officers will contact you as soon as possible and begin processing your request. If our EMTs are available, your request will be filled and confirmed via email. 

Staffing policy: Requests submitted fewer than 14 days before the event may not be filled. Requests submitted at least 14 days in advance will usually be filled but are not guaranteed. If you would like to arrange EMT standbys for multiple scheduled events (e.g. all sports games in a season), please contact the MIT EMS Scheduling Officers (ems-scheduling@mit.edu).

Payment policy: Our rate is $60/hour per EMT per day, plus an additional 30 minutes of preparation, which includes all required medical equipment. If you would like the ambulance present at your event, our rate is $90/hour/EMT/day (plus an additional 30 minutes of preparation). If you request the ambulance for an event, it must still leave the event to respond to any emergency calls received. Discounted rates are available for groups with an MIT cost object.

Cancellation policy: Please note that once your request is staffed, it will be communicated to you via email and is considered a confirmed booking. If you no longer need EMS coverage after submitting your request, please notify us before we fill your detail request. Once we fill your detail request, requests may be canceled free of charge up to 48 hours prior to the event. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the event, up until the event start time, will be charged 50% of the full price. If our EMTs arrive at the event as scheduled without prior communication of a cancellation, you will be responsible for 100% of the service cost, regardless of whether our services were utilized.
